Dude, don't tell me about what you know about lights.
McCulloch's are a nice middle-of-the-road option, but are not a true HID/projector kit.
Those burn out too - and the best prices I've seen is $80 a pair.
You must be a divine lad - using bulbs that are almost double the OEM kit wattage and no troubles...especially with those hi-zoot "Kryton" bulbs.

Anyway, good luck. I hope your luck lasts.

^^^ No $hit. You were arguing over and over about SilverStars and other bulbs.
If you just wanted to state the obvious that HIDs are better than bulbs, duh.

right now, i'm running 8000K HIDs in my car, but before them, i had silverstars. after driving with the OEM bulbs, i put the silverstars in and went out for a spin...i couldn't believe how much brighter they were. i didn't buy them to look like HIDs, though, i bought them after seeing them in my friend's car and how much brighter they were. i needed to light up the road better. of course, they can't touch my HIDs in visibility

Check out how old this thread is on my first post. Some just bought this thread back out from the ded. From what I know then and now is a huge difference. I still stand on how silverstar is pretty much too much $$$ just for bulbs that last only a couple months with high wattage plus the brightness isn't as good as some other aftermarket bulbs.

I still know today some people have been using PlasmaGlow for more than three years same bulbs without burning out and never burnt harness. It's also the quality of the bulbs themselves vs the cost.

from what i hear, luminics have less output than stock lights. the titanium white luminics.

Wal-Mart, AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, ect., ect. The double pac is usually a bit cheaper than buying 2 seperate bulbs. Figure about $26-$36 per pair, depending where you get them and whether that particular store has them on sale or not. At one time Sylvania was offering a $10 mail-in rebate on them....don't know if they still are though.

Sylvania also makes an equivalent bulb that has a white base (plug)
I will try to get part numbers.
I've seen these on ebay for as little as $20 a pair.

I put CoolBlues in my car... they were cheaper than the SilverStars and are still pretty white. I'll probably upgrade later, but I wanted a quick and inexpensive white upgrade to hold me until I could get the others. With all the other stuff I'm purchasing, $60 for lows/highs was not a priority.

But cheapo bulbs that may fry your harness are ok?
It may cost you more than that soon...

Why would they fry the harness? They're Sylvania's lesser model to the SilverStar.

Went to print the ad this morning to take to Advance Auto and it looks the "get one at 1/2 price" is over. The $5 rebate is still in effect.
