Haha yeah, I got lucky with never getting pulled for my 15% on the sides. But any VA law dealing with driving or tint is horrible haha.

Edit: I'm on a 6 month probation starting tomorrow haha, one ticket within that time period that gives me a demerit point will result in license suspension. After the 6 month period, im on a 18 month control period where if I get a ticket within that time, I will be back on 6 month probation.. so it's like 2 years of having to be ticket proof..

 

Oh dayum, yea then is is probably best not to get your windshield tinted. Yea, VA state cops don't like tint! I have no problem in my town or at school.

 

Especially mixing together Williamsburg and Colonial Parkway, Cops are all over the place. Yesterday I only saw state police..not a single county cop around haha.

 

Hahah yea, my area is alright. I just try to stay off 95 as much as I can.

 

just got my '08 tC a couple weeks ago and want to tint the windows. i live in san diego, what do you guys think the darkest i could go is without getting harassed too badly?

 

6% Solar Guard Tint Sides & Rear

 

CA tint law is anything % on the back sides and rear windown and 70% for the front side windows. 70% means your really cant legally tint them because they highest tint shops have is 50%. You should be okay with 35% though.

I'm wishing now that I had 15% on the fronts too, everyone around has darker than me on the fronts, even my mom's Murano tinted by the dealer is darker (even though the sticker on it claims its >25% haha)

 

getting my windows 15% all around except windsheild on my SCM this weekend is SUNTEK windowfilm any good? thats what they use. they work on bentlys and mercedes ect ect.. so im thinkin this is a preety decent shop

Yea, just cover the tire with newspaper or put index cards between the wheel and tire.
