Default would this look good?

since no one ever sells used CSM lip kits, and it would cost too much to buy one and have it painted, would it look good (or absolutely horrible) if i put it on without painting it? just like the black unpainted how it comes... cuz ive seen a lot of white tC's with black lip kits and i think it looks good. if someone was selling a CSM lip kit, or even front lip, id take it, but how would a black unpainted lip kit work out? also, what if i got CF lip? i thought no cuz i havent seen one on CSM and feel like itd look bad...

personally, i dont like the black on white lip kit or even CF. Only discolor on cars id like is CF hood or hatch/trunk. so no i dont think it will look good. you might come off as cheap for not painting it or just taky looking?

not painting it would look tacky...if you go the CF route...then go that route and i'm sure it will look nice...but not the unpainted look

Unpainted anything is immediate and colossal fail. At no point will someone think "wow, that unpainted kit looks dank, yo". They will more than likely go "when is he going to finish painting his car?"

On a semi-related note, there's a Civic down the street from my parents' house that's bright red with white side skirts and front/rear lip... and it's quite possibly the tackiest thing I've ever seen in person.

There's a big difference between unpainted and CF.

Sounds like the people who paint their hoods black so people will think they have a CF hood.

BAD IDEA.

well i guess i gotta scratch my idea haha. idk if i wanna go CF, but ack- the only reason i wanted to go black hood/hatch is cuz i like the way it looks on the white tC's. i dont even really like CF.

Ya, the black/white is one thing... but when it's a black hood on a white car, it just comes out bad and people make assumptions.

I'd actually like to get a silver CF hood some day... but it's not very high on my list.

^ if you don't like cf then, just save up and paint it - yes it will take longer and cost more $$$ - but patience is a virtue...

get the CF or buy the regular ones...but dont put them on your car until youve got them painted.
