I had a a scrape on the side of one of my pipes that was about 4 inches. Im not sure if its ok or I should get it welded ....can anybody give me feedback on what I should do? Im planning on taking a picture of it but were the pipes coated with anything? ...im hoping that its just a top coat that got scraped because there is an indentation in it but not all the way though.

how many gaskets should we have gotten? I only have 1 - if we are only suposta put 1 ....wouldnt that cause an air leak where the spipe meets?

Yeah, when I got my s-pipe it didn't come with any hardware at all and when I went to install it there was an alignment problem with the s-pipe flange and the factory exhaust. The bolt holes are slightly off and I couldn't fit standard exhaust size bolts. I had to get smaller ones, which I'm hoping to swap out as soon as I receive the intended hardware from Draxas. I wasn't overly impressed with the piece either... welds are messy, flange slightly cocked, and tubing wasn't de-burred. Oh well, good thing it's under the car

i went to napa auto store and got a gasket had to custom it to fit now i dont have a leak anymore the size of the gasket was a 2.5in with a 4in. bolt gasket they will know wat i mean. and also i replace there 17mm nuts and bolts with 14mm bolts and nuts i need 4 nuts and 2 bolts use the factory one but rather then that everything was ok i like the sys.. i dont really care 2 much about that... i did notice a lil better performance... so therfor if from a 1-10 rate i would give a 8 thats from my with my exhaust sys..

how i read what jwaggs said, i was under the assumption it was installed then scrapped. I dont see how it would be scrapped from the factory.

DraXas is award that no gaskets or hardware was sent with the spipe. They are getting these issues worked out at this very moment. If you are having exhaust leaks, its because you are missing the gaskets that were supposed to ship with the pipe, unfortunally the manufacture didnt send them, nor the hardware.

I'm sure DraXas will update you all on this in some way or another.

I wonder how long this is gonna take to get the gaskets and hardware. This is Thermal's mistake. They should be overnighting these to all invloved considering many of us are on the other side of the country.

January is over, and my financial situation has not cleared up yet to the point of being able to dish out $700.

Is there any possible way that DraXas could extend the scionlife member discount for another few weeks? I think it'd be a nice gesture, and would gaurantee my purchase, as well as potentially some others.

out of everybody - its some pretty darn bad luck how I got the bad one out of the group. I dont know all that much about pipe bending but it looks like something was sticking out and jabbing the pipe as it was being bent (because its a very distinct scrape...strait and way way way too deep for someone to manually do it).

I called draxas but no reply yet. I have the exhaust sitting on the floor of my house. There is no way I could have attempted to install it. I just got it tuesday afternoon and had work till 5:40pm. By then it was dark. Anyway - Im going to call draxas tomorrow and leave another voicemail. I noticed that the same kind of scrape is also on another one of the pipes. I did not have a chance to take a picture of that scrape.

The gasket issue is major because its a 100% needed piece to assemble the product. If anybody speaks to draxas - ask them to call me (justin). I just called and sent a page 2 minutes ago.

You can always buy a gasket from discount auto or some other comparable store. Just take the s-pipe in and take a look at the sizes they have. I know we shouldn't have to but it is an easy solution (no one likes a leaky exhaust!). I bought one before I started the install because I had forgotten I was supposed to be sent one. When the alignment issue came up with the flanges then I started to look into it more. Oh, and I'm not surprised you have a scratch that looks like its from the bending process, all of the bends on my s-pipe look like the machine was clamping too hard, there are rib marks and pinching indentations before and after each bend.

Ok guys, I got my dealer tech to install my DraXas system w/ s-pipe on my s/c tC. I paid him under the table. I had the same issue with missing hardware. It only came with one gasket. There were also bolts missing. Other than that, everything was beautiful. Like 5 daeler techs were standing around my car as it was getting done. I know the hardware issue wasn't DraXas's fault.
Alright let me say this. With the TRD supercharger, this exhaust has one of the most beautiful exhaust notes I've ever heard. A lot deeper than I thought it would be (this is a good thing). I still need to get those pieces of missing hardware to complete the install. I could definitly feel a power gain from the good ol butt dyno. This might have something to do with sound affecting the sensation of speed, but I could definitly feel it in the upper RPM range. for DraXas for a great product.

just hold out for a little bit. They are really busy and don't come on the boards very often. Try giving them a call or sending an email. You'll probably have better luck getting in touch with them that way.
