Default 07-08 MAF Interchangable with 05-06 MAF?

Hey guys I have an 08 TC and was wondering if a MAF off an 05-06 TC will function with my car. I'm not worried about fitment as I know they require different sized holes but I want to know about function. I know the wire harness is the same fit with same wire arrangement. So my question is, If I install an aftermarket intake with a 05-06 MAF, will my ECU get the same (proper) airflow readings as id get with the 08 MAF?

Please no speculation. I need an answer from someone who really knows for sure please!

No they are different, it would probably cause rough idle. You need a 07-09 MAF.

Oh really haha. So do you have a 06 MAF in your 07 TC?? Is it plug and play or did you have to do some fiddling?? Hows the car run?
