Default '08 tC Performance Race/Show Car

Hey everyone, im looking to make my '08 tC into a performance race and show car. Ive already done the following:

Injen CAI; Strup Racing Exhaust Headers; TRD Coilovers and Strut Bar, Agency Lightweight Crank Pulley.

Im looking to do alot more:

Clutchmaster Stage3 Kit; Lightweight Fly Wheel; Dezod Stainless Steel HF Caty; Over bore the engine to .350mm; Carbon Fiber hood and Spoiler (MAYBE... id like a little feed back on that part too); and possibly a GReddy Stage3 turbo kit.

What I dont have info on but would like to know about is:

Performance Fuel injectors, Performance Cams, Performance Pistons, 19" rims/wheels, Performance Rods,.

SO, im asking a huge favor of everyone: Please tell me all you know about the things I know nothing of (3rd section). Especially where to find them, on the net and off if not on.

Also, id like to add that the tech section of ScionLife has saved my life over and over again with installing parts. So, I hope to one day do the same! Lol.

if you want your car to perform, i wouldn't put 19s on there. they'd be way to heavy and would drag you down. i voted supercharger, but just so that your cai and header wouldn't go to waste.

Lol, thank you sir. However, the 19" are for the "show" part of the car. I would still be running on the stock 17" for the racing part. Any thoughts on the other selections?

lol sorry i'm totally ignorant when it comes to building motor-type stuff. i just know that it handles more power, but decreases the reliability toyota engines have become popular for.

For performance and show purposes a turbo is going to be far better than a supercharger. The turbo will have better numbers and a supercharger can be seen as a factory option (thus not unique and losing you points in the show aspect).

^^not necessarily. You can powdercoat the s/c, or get it chromed out with custom i/c piping and intake piping and it looks way better than most turbo kits IMO. My buddy at Street Image did a custom job for a Toyota dealer recently on a new corolla and it looks amazing! I would say s/c also so that the intake and header don't go to waste also. Unless you're doing drag, the turbo lag might not be the best thing for racing IMO

first you should get to know more about tuning and motors and all that good stuff before you go out and buy the part...i started doing that and still in the process of learning..

i actually have a question for everyone

that big rod in the middle of my seats....that "1,2,3,4,5,R" thingy.....wtf is that? and my car won't start. wtf is up with that? what's a clutch?

Buddhas: Im thinking of getting the Lightweight Fly wheel (I will be getting it, just a matter of time), and the stage3 Clutchmasters Kit. That will take away 90% of the turbo lag. Though you are right about the Headers and CAI. However, if I use a heat shield (modified) for the CAI, it wont be too much of a problem.

Silver: Ive been around the engines of cars for a while, but Everyone on here has ALOT more experience together than I could ever hope to have. I really value everyones input. The Turbo is a far off project, the last thing (hopefully) to be put on the car. Id like to save 3200$ before i kill myself. Lol.

Thanks to everyone, keep answeringh!!!

Get a custom intake manifold and bolt an Eaton M62 on there. Win major points for being unique, and win races by having N/A throttle response. (Then send me schematics on exactly how you did it. )

have you ever thought of using the right sized turbo? then lag wouldn't be such an issue.
