I have had my tC for about 6 months, I have been driving stick for quite a while. I drive normal until my car is warmed up. But if I do a hard pull from 1st to 2nd sometimes it will grind and not want to go in gear(2nd). I have no problems going into 3rd, or 4th on the interstate. Just 2nd.
Has anyone had these problems? What Fixes?

maybe try changing tranny fluid, it might help.. i cant power shift 3rd to 4th cuz my girl F'ed up my car trying to learn stick, but it did help a little when i changed my tranny fluid.. i used redline mt90
A hard driven 5spd should be changed anywhere from 30-50k depending on if you auto-x if you're using full synthetic IMO. If you haven't changed the clutch, put on a short shifter, or adjusted the clutch pedal, grinding from 1st to 2nd is a little odd unless you're just not used to the delay in the throttle and long throw characteristics of the pedal and gearshift. I had issues with 3rd before I got shifter bushings and my short shifter. Now everything is perfect. I would have gotten used to it eventually but the shift throw was way too far anyways.
