I have a 2005 Scion tC.

Just 2 days ago my car was running fine. I left for work an all of a sudden my rpms went to 7 and I wasn't going any where. So I pulled over an put the car back into park. Waited a few seconds then went back into drive.
Pulled out on the hwy and when the car went to shift into second gear as an automatic would do. Again my rpms went to 6 and couldn't go. So I had to drive my car back home less the 6 blocks away only being able to go into first gear.
So as I put it into park in my drive way
I once again waited about 5 min. Then put my car into reverse and it didn't catch so when I gave it a little gas it basically clunked into reverse. But I can feel the trans catching neutral and drive. But will not catch second gear when over 10 mph

Can any suggest something that I can try?

Sounds kinda like limp mode. Get it scanned and see what trouble codes there are.
