Default Antifreeze type?

I have a 2009 tC would like to flush the radiator.

What type of antifreeze is required?

Thank you

I would get the Toyota red coolant that isn't diluted. It's easier to get a 50/50 mix than trying to guess with the pink stuff that's pre-diluted from the factory. Your coolant system holds 7.6 quarts. You can't drain out all the water used to flush the old coolant but you can drain enough water to fill the system with 3.8 quarts of a 4 quart jug of Toyota red (non diluted) coolant. Then fill to the top with distilled water and you'll have a guaranteed 50/50 mix.

Toyota's OEM and Recommended Antifreeze is Pink and good for 100k miles.

Refer to vintage42's Post #14 and Post #15:

Engine coolant? 2 Different colors?
