Default 2007 tC burning over 5qt between oil changes..

My tC has been getting progressively worse over the years since it passed the oil conception test back during the recall in 2015. I'm now burning at least 5-7 quarts between a 3K oil change. Which I don't even see the point of as by the time it gets to the oil change it's empty. I have about 180K on the motor. I'm at a loss at what to do, took to my mechanic and he gave me this oil saver Liqui Holy is the brand and at first he told me to do a whole bottle 1st oil change then on the second oil change do it again. Then the last do it 300-400 miles before the oil change. But in all actuality it burns too much to do that. So now we put one bottle in ever 200-300 miles that's like every week for me.

Has anyone ever gone back to Toyota and gotten any results out of correcting this problem? I can't afford a new car actually my tC she runs good outside of this problem. Has anyone gotten any results or resolution to this problem.
If I had the time I'd be looking into what a law suit would take because this has cost me as much as a new motor would have for all the additional oil that I've purchased.

Lol.. this is a pretty big problem.

Not sure you'll be able to do much with Toyota as years ago when you got it tested during their test phase it didn't have problems (been 6 years). Swapping in a replacement block would be the simplest option and probably fairly cheap for parts.

It did have a problem because it barely passed the test.

Hi, I have an old nostalgic Scion xB 2004. Eating oil was on my like 7 years old "to fix " list. On my engine there is a part called PCV valve. Cost at AutoZone like $5.
This part gets stuck in one position and then suck the oil to the engine piston chambers. To replace this is easy. My old car mechanic teach me to do in the right way.

You may need a 10mm socket, and a deep 19mm socket. Duration time: 15 minutes. If you do it yourself is free + the part ($5). By asking a "specialist" mechanic cost: $120 labor.

First remove the VVT engine cover. There at the right corner is this PCV valve part located.
Do not be scared, or intimidated. Then that part need replacement again in 2-5 years.
