Default 2007 tC CAI installation

So this is my first time posting a thred.
I just got a CAI and I would like to install it. I have some guides but they're either general guides or for a newer model.
So I was hoping someone here could give me some instruction or stuff to do specifically for a 2007 that I would need to know

Try searching this forum for "intake" and several DIYs will pop up: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/for...lay.php?f=1818

You didn't mention which brand, but this is for the Injen - pretty much all should be about the same.

Okay, well I have another question.
Some directions say you should take the driver side wheel off and others just say you can turn all the way left and you don't have to.
Has anyone done either of those?

Why not give it a shot with the wheel on and if there's not enough clearance, take the wheel off? The reason they state that is because the piping is routed behind the fender liner and you may need the clearance.

Take the car to a professional if you're having this many issues.

So now that the CAI's on I can't stop there.
I want to get an exhaust but I don't want to spend $250+
Any ideas? I know everyone loves injen, but they are tremendously expensive.
I also noticed they sell just the muffler for around $50-80 do those "work" or what's the deal with them really
I did come across this and I wanted the opinion from serious tuners http://compare.ebay.com/like/380431945589?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y

the more you spend the better it will be... for the most part. if your going to go cheap it may sound like crap and not hold up to the diff. weather conditions. i have a megan s-pipe, mid pipe, and trd axle back. sounds really nice. but in my mind you get what you pay for.

I think that's somewhat relative.
All an exhaust is really is a pipe bent to fit under a car from the engine to the back.
There's only so many ways that it can be bent to fit under the car, so for the most part in my opinion it's really just the end of the system where anything can differ.
I agree that the sound might be different from different manufacturers but are they really that different to justify a $300 price gap? That's really the basis of my questioning.
