Default 2007 tC VS 2002 325xi

ok so who would win in a race, if both cars were being pushed to their limits and asuming both drivers started from a dig and drove at full throttle...

1) 2007 Scion tC, manual tans, cat back exhaust(magnaflow)

2)2002 BMW 325xi, automatic, stock, AWD (xi) the auto makes around 180 hp and 170 tq. crank of course not at wheels and the car also weighs in at around 3500lbs..thats 600lbs more than the M/T TC

Def. the 325xi...only b/c if they are being pushed to their limits then the Bimmer is def. going to go faster than the tC only b/c the tC will electronically cut speed once it hits 127mph...and if that limiter is removed then supposedly the gears will gear out at 134mph so the Bimmer will still end up going faster. Did that answer your question?

Sorry but the 325xi is a pig, if the tC had a competent driver it'd easily beat the 325xi.

If the tC were automatic, it'd be a closer race.

This site claims a 0-60 time of 8.5 for the auto BMW.

Yes but the org. poster stated racing, pushed to their limits...the 325 would win overall achieving higher speed than the tC. Now if there were guidlines and what not then the tC could possibly. Not sure on that aspect but overall top speed the Bimmer would win it.

Ya, if only they had a long enough stretch of road to go from a dig to 130mph+ speeds without getting pulled over. It'd take forever.

By the way that BMW is electronically limited to 128 MPH, so really a manual tC with a half decent driver will spank it.

We are definatley comparing apples and oranges here. MAYBE the tC could win from a short distance dig...emphasize MAYBE...and only going in a straight line.

Now, throw some turns and curves in and the tC will be embarrassed. I love my tC don't get me wrong but the tC's strong point is definatley not it's road hugging capability.
