Default 2009 tC keeps dying..

Hi. I have a 2009 tC, it has a brand new battery and a brand new starter. Out of nowhere it wouldn't start, and I couldn't jump it either. The only way I can start it is with a push start with the clutch. Gradually, throughout the next hour or so it got worse. First, it stalled and died whenever I would go from not moving to first...another push start...then it died when I stopped at a red light...another push start that took a couple tries for that matter. I drove the last couple miles home with no power steering or brakes, having to keep my RPMs above 2000 to keep it from dying. This sounds like it's the alternator. My only hesitation is that prior to this car I owned a 2005 tC with very similar issues, and replaced the alternator and it didn't fix the problem. I never ended up figuring out what it was. So that may be something to take into account when considering whether it's an alternator problem I dunno. Thanks.
