Default 80w90 for differential

So I had Toyota dealership installed TRD limited slip differential and competition clutch stage 4. When I was driving home I've noticed very light grinding noise coming from transmission. its not loud at all, its not like misshift grinding. It only happens in 4th and 5th hear above 3000rpm when I let off gas. It stops if I get back on gas or press clutch in. Also they put 80w90 in my transmission. I asked them why and they said its because differential needs thicker oil or it will slip lol so I went to dealer this morning again and they couldn't do anything about noise. I'm thinking its their oil causing grinding noise. I have 3 bottles of Redline and I was just wondering if its ok for differential and what should I do?

80W-90 isn't much different then 75W-90 which is what OEM calls for. All I have run is Mobil one synthetic I think it is 80W-90.

hey man, aside from noise. How do u like the limited slip differential? Where and How much if u don't mind? Chris told me they have a good deal going on in one of the dealerships around here. I wonder if it is the same place.

We need to get together at the track again man or any other place for that matter, if u don't mind. I want to see how it feels.

^ man I really wish i never started that project. Dealer totaly messed up my car. They left vac hose disconnected, they put a dent on my quarter panel, my transmission is making grinding noise, the lost my extra parts (17shims $5 each), they messed up some more parts and charged me for it, also i got grease all over my front wheel because they busted boot on the axel and it took them 2 weeks to finish. Now they are going to replace whole axel and fix the dent, so i guess its another week or so.
So dont go to Champion on i-45. Service was $1100 and they did my clutch free of charge. Community Toyota on i-10 quoted me $1350 just for lsd.
Cant tell you the difference yet besides grinding noise lol But i like my new clutch, its really sticky. I'll bring my car on track again after i get it back just got to install motor mounts i had those sitting in my room few weeks already.

wow that really sucks!!! Is champion like a small shop or a dealership? If I can be of any help with the mounts, shoot me a message, I have some experience with them. Let me know when ur going to the track, hopefully I'll have my clutch installed by then. I can't run it like I want to right now, that sucker slips too much.
