The compression numbers on the left are the "new CR". The ones on the top side are the old ones. Your compression goes from 9.X:1 to 11.X:1, and the gain is around 5hp. It's a 3% gain per CP point. In a stock tC with9.6 or 9.7 (depending on the year) going up to 11.6 or 11.7 CP will yield around 6% power increment. From 160hp to around 169.6. All this is theorical numbers, you have to take that into account. Power made will be decided by factors such as fuel ocaten rating, ignition timing advance, tuning, barometric pressure and on and on and on. You get it.

Not smart, just read a lot. This is information gathered over time. Thats all. What is it that you didn't understand?

I think the main problem was figuring out how to read the diagram. Personally, I found it pretty straight forward.

Get low compression pistons and buy a turbo kit...hell of alot better power to dollar ratio!

Just my $0.02

Some people just want to be different. We all know that turbo is the most cost effective way, but maybe he just wants to go a different route.

good point...and the 2az is pretty accepting of mods both ways...u can make pretty decent power with NA as well on it, if u get it tuned right...

then again if u wanna be different, u could also do a custom turbo setup, not many tCs are "built" yet

(sorry, im a turbo freak )
