I posted before about removing the air silencer from the airbox....well i cut it in half and stuck it back on to get the cold air in the fender ( like someone said) a good idea.....also... it makes a nice noise in the fender as its sucking air just in back of the metel fender..i guess its actiong like a drum. but its not loud...my car is dead quiet and this is no big thing...just some tone for a quiet car....also the silencer has a bottlekneck at the opening that cant help with injesting air. this is a nice mod for anyone looking to play and the price is FREE. heres some pics.

I see U cut the tube, but is that the entire tubing U pulled out. Other than noise, was their any other purpose with this experience?

that's not the "silencer" that most people talk about...
that would be the resonating box thing that's attached after the airbox.

cutting a tube like that... i dunno if it really does anything at all.. though at least you but it back on than having it off completely.

I told you guys i was bored... ... If you guys want i can make a step by step...guide to the lightweight process.

 

When I was bored i removed the air silencer box and then plugged it with something from home depot, like a pipe plug or something of the same diameter. Then i took off the tube completely, the one that you cut. That made a ridiculous sound whenenever I would floor it...I kinda like it better than my exhaust but its back to stock now...waiting for cai.
