1. I don't believe dynos. There is too much room for error involved.
2. If they did get those #s they are useing a header/CAI or something in tandom. No way in hell an exhaust system alone on a NA engine can give you that type of feedback without help from something else. I doubt this system is legal. Once you slap on the HF cat you've lost right there.
3. I see no dyno sheet. I can go to ebay and buy a chip for .99 that claims to give me 20 whp. Doesn't mean it's true.

I'd give more faith and props to companies that would give real #s then a few passes on a dyno that I have never seen.

My 2.7T audi ran 294whp one run, and 302 on another... Too much room for error and a waste of bragging point money.

They had a dyno sheet posted, do a search and actually it showed 18whp with the Secret Weapon Short Ram w/ the hood closed! He actually did 3 passed with a 2HP variance.

If you don't believe in dyno's, why'd you bother to have one done? For that matter why believe any HP numbers by any manufactuer including Toyota, where do you think they get their number's from?

your right. It was a waste of money. I like dynos when you do serious mods like I did for my car.... To see results that are over 25% in over all gains to match your satisfaction of what you physically feel... Dynos are good for racing your car, or to show real gains over 50whp not to measure rinky dink gains less then 20whp. That falls in the realm of 'good run bad run' IMO.

his results were coming from the SR and not much from the exhuast. I guarantee it.

Ok, I agree with you that people in general shouldn't waste money on dynos unless they do some heavy mods, but these are companies so they'll get that money back. In any event, you have to admit 18whp from a WeaponR and a full exhaust (minus header) ain't too shabby.

I think it looks great too, just hope the gap between the muffler and the bumper isn't that big on mine! It would definately scrape now since I have the Hotchkis springs on.

Does anyone who's lowered and has this exhaust have any feedback as to whether the exhaust scrapes on the ground over bumps?

It uses a HKS 120mm silencer so it's about 4.75"

I like the look of this exhaust too bad it won't give you any noticable power gain. 3whp at most.

are they planning on a catback system anytime soon?

The DC axle-back in PowerPages of Import Tuner this month showed like almost 3whp...so 3whp and sporting the HKS name, I'd be down with it.

Kid,
Steve from Hopup is a cool guy, he'll get the exhuast to you as fast as possible.
just give him a call and leave a message if you have any questions.

yea everything is cool. Back home now.. although being stuck in Orlando wasn't bad at all. Better weather then here. now I get a couple days of R&R, wash some clothes and then head up to HotLanta. Until then, my car has just been sitting in the garage, while I'm getting surpassed on the mods by the Big K..
Your car is really turning out!!
