hey guys this might sound stupid but a scion tc's manual transmission is the same as manual transaxle right?

a transmission and a transaxle are in essence the same thing. A transaxle is the type of transmission that goes in a FWD car because it doesn't use the long bellhousing a RWD car uses for the driveshaft. A transaxle is more "square" in shape whereas a transmission is more like a bell shape (hence bellhousing)

ok cool because i just bought a brand spanking new trans for 590 bucks. I couldnt pass on that deal . Now i can check that off the list. lol

Clutch
Axle
Master cylinder
Slave cylinder
Hydraulic lines
Clutch
Flywheel
Hoses
Short shifter
Seal kit

Please let me know what else I'm missing.

i got the ss clutch line, 12lb flywheel and quaife/trd lsd

i just need to get a new clutch and driverside axle

i have everything

but i'm not sure if we need the manual ecu wiring harness

do we need it?

oh i guess i missed it

so hopefully i'll have mine done this summer, i'm working on getting a bike so i'll have another way to get around while the car gets worked on

Don't aftermarket clutches have lines already I just ordered one from trdsparks.

geo no they dont come with SS lines, they use the stock clutch line

Man just looking at that wiring harness makes me wanna shoot myself trying to hook something like that up haha. although with a diagram it shouldn't be that hard but man pulling those things OUT of a car is a real PITA

Oh and to answer you're question that does look like what you would need. Although I'm pretty sure the auto one will work, just make sure you protect anything that isn't being used and don't just let it limp around in the car. The manual harness will just have less circuits because a manual transmission only has a couple of electrical components whereas an auto has quite a few.

rgr but if u use the manual u have to get teh bypass crap to override the ecu or something cuz of the VIN number... idk seems like a hassle

^ yeah that to. I'm not an expert on the subject but honestly the auto harness should be more than ok..just wrap up any loose connections with electrical tape and put them somewhere where they won't arc/spark and not just flop around and you should be good!
