Default Automatic transmission removal.

Hi everyone, this topic is actually pertaining to the xB2 but the cars have the same transmission/engine so I figured I'd ask here since the xB2 forums are generally useless for information (from what it seems). I've been using this topic as a general "template":

This is my first time working on a FWD car with an automatic transmission so I'm generally unfamiliar with this and would prefer not to break anything on a generally new car. Could anyone let me know what I'm missing to unattach the shift linkage/cable in the picture I'm going to attach? Thanks for any possible help.

One thread per topic. I'd suggest you try searching for the procedure for an auto to manual swap. The removal steps are the same.
