1st the stock axles are built well and it takes serious power to break or lack of driving skills and slicks.

2nd you were asking about better axles so I pointed them out for you.

3rd you have to pay to play.

What are your goals? If you are only doing slight modifications or turbo with low boost then stay with stock axles.

The Driveshaftshop axles are Level 3.9 600hp with hubs. I emailed them to find out if they include the bearings with the upgraded hubs the pictures show wheel studs so I ask that as well. Their site list 1,299.99 but if you get a good company you may get them cheaper. Also consider the OEM axles from the dealer are roughly 1,000+ depending on dealer and if you get a deal on them. I don't consider Driveshaftshop axles to be outrages in price, I think its fairly reasonable consider it includes hubs and if includes bearings then it is extremely reasonable.

"just wondering if there are other options" .... <---- yeah there certainly are... don't break the ones that are on your car now... lol...

sorry.. couldn't resist.. :D .... but yeah if you're looking to upgrade to a stronger axle setup... I'm sure there are a few companies out there that can do it for you...but like he was saying... if it includes all the other parts you need... for an aftermarket beefy axle... not a bad deal at all.

as far as im aware driveshaft shop is the only place that carries anything like that right now.

but, if im not mistakin, the axles they sell are just our stock axles beefed up. So im sure if you took your axles to a local shop with experience they could do something similar.

I emailed driveshaftshop about the axles and found out they do not include bearings, they do include wheel studs. So you get axles, hubs, and wheel studs. I did some research so keep in mind prices are list price (most dealers charge this price) but some aren't current but should be close at least.

Axles from dealer: $628 RH, $540 LH, Hubs 130 each side, Studs 40 (all of them) = 1468 assuming the dealer gets good prices you could pay $1200 plus tax.

Axles from driveshaft shop $1299 (includes axles, hubs, and studs), bearings are $90 each = 1479

Price is very much similar between the two.

For those considering autozone, advance, napa, or carquest for axles good luck. You may get a good price and lifetime warranty but will have to continuously change the axles due to them breaking or other issues.

x2.. they work for a daily and light use but never trust them on the track.. i just got one from oreily's and i wasnt impressed on how it looks like.. its missing that dust shield and that driveshaft damper i know its no biggy but still the ebay one looks closer to stock.. the shaft closer to the inner spline is a tad bit thinner

I will never understand why people go boost, and then start going cheap on supporting mods, or even cheap on the turbo's themselves...

If you want peace of mind, quality, and reliability, you're gonna have to spend, otherwise, stick with bolt ons or getting a car that's turbo from the factory...
