Default Best clutch for the money..?

first, how long (roughly) would you say the stock clutch will last?

I have 75,000 miles on my 2005 scion tc and don't drive it in the winters, so i was just curious on the life of stock clutch and if I could get another year out of it.

I have a skunk2 exhaust, along with a CAI, and possible upgrade headers this summer as well. What clutch would you all recommend, and would a new flywheel be needed or can I just resurface the stock one?

opinions and facts would be appreciated!

thanks!

there really is no best clutch for the money, its all what you want, and what your trying to achieve, and depending on how you drive, will tell the life span of the stock clutch, usually its good up to 100k,ive seen some 120-150k but then again car is not driven every day,if your not planning on turbo and want something better then stock act are good...paired up with a lightweight flywheel...but again all depends on what your using the car for..me personally im going turbo this spring and my stock clutch is not shot but pretty warn at 63k...so i pick up a act street clutch and a competition 12 lb flywheel

I have a Clutch Masters FX400 Stage IV 6 Puck Ceramic and i love it. I daily drive my tC even in the winter and i haven't had any problems with it. The pedal is much closer to the floor and engages and disengages very quickly. Hasn't slipped once with my turbo.

Mine did the same thing, I had a lot of take-up ... I drove pretty hard on my stock clutch. The clutch failed under warranty at 58k. Interesting story, but offtopic.

I asked to see the clutch and I can confirm that the clutch material itself was no more than 1/2 worn; just as the tech had told me. They said 100k plus is not unusual on the stock clutch, under normal circumstances.

i got 112k on my stock clutch and im boosted. ive been hard on my car when it was stock. im not as abusive with it boosted but its still holdin up. im changin it out within the next month or so, so u should def be fine for a few more summers lol but it all depends on ur driving style. if i were u id go with a more aggresive clutch since ur gonna go boost soon. it makes no sense to do the job twice bc it is a pita to do on our cars.

I'm looking for a new clutch seeing as mine has a bad throwout bearing and causes it to slip rarely. Looking to get an upgraded setup that I shouldn't need to replace when I turbo my car in the next year. Any helpful thoughts/opinions?

If you plan to turbo next summer, don't bother with headers this summer. Save your $$ and time. The $200-$300 you'll spend on that can go toward your clutch or gauges.

Anyone know if the act clutch fits 05-10 or does it break down 05-06 and 07-10??
