Injen has been dynoed by someone on here and it gave him additional 8 whp. Which to me is hella high. Well To bring this debate back up can some1 plz post a response if any1 has a WEapon-r setup with the whole shebang lo. (ram air kit and cold air box) looks nice for sure , but i want reliability and quality.

-Thanks again guys, Tony

So many to choose from and so many opinions..hmm..Injen, Fujita, K&N, AEM, or self made. I think i'm going to route a air tube from the intake tunnel into the car, and whenever i need that extra boost, i'll just blow into it.

injen has a snal looking thing?wth u mean snail? lol iono if thers a snal on the injen. no. And yea the debate on intakes is always gonna be going on for new tuners. People just get watever they like. Or most people would want to try it themselves so they can be sure but most likely no1 is that rich. Im just posting my part becuase i actually have the weapon-r intake and driven my friends tc with the injen. Performance would go to the injen. Then again there could be weather conditions who knows. Intake is intake, so i went with style. The weapon-r looks pretty clean and itz pretty good quality. Plus i probably would be able to pass smog with a air box. Most smog place wont know. And smog is an ___ here in Cali so when i decide on parts smog is a big thing.

basically your going to buy for the brand name... i have the injen just because it was the only intake i could find available for my 07..and u can convert it to sr or cai... so if your scared ur gonna hydrolock, just make it sr.. or just get a hydroshield/ bypass valve..or dont drive into like 2 ft puddles

I've had my 07 Injen since March and havnt had an issue with fender burning, denting, or brackets breaking. Doc I's fender panel works great and for 17 bux shipped its well worth it. It keeps the CAI from moveing around as the engine moves when throttled. Oh and makes the bay look a little cleaner

Awesome, just a forewarning on the panel though. It is easiest to do it with the battery removed and the fuse box unbolted and moved as well. However you can do it without doing all that by removing the lid to the fuse box and either taking out the lightbulb right there for the headlight or just removing the wire/connector for it. My buddy and I choose to actually remove to bulb so there was less risk in breaking off the connector on it. I'm in favor of removing the battery and fuse box it would be less painful and risky, you just have to reset everything but your suppose to do that anyway when you install the CAI. The reason behind removing everything is b/c you will mount the one pipe on the throttle body and the other in the fender. We found it really easy to just put on the pipe to the throttle body but not tighten it down and have it kinda pushed towards the header area. then mounted the pipe in the fender, put the fender panel over it, screwed it to the car, then tightened everthing down. Fairly easy to do, I'm sure you'll figure out what I'm saying as soon as you start working on it.

That's who I bought mine from. 250 for the 05-06 model and 260 for the 07 model and that is not including shipping. Good company IMO.

Yea like i said its up to whatever the buywer wants. As in looks or whatever. Intakes are a small upgrade that i guess sets alot of tc's apart. Heres mine and i must say it scores for the looks.

Which one is CARB legal? I don't mind the extra money for a cai, i'm leaning towards injen or fujita, but I honestly want one that's carb legal when smog comes along (can't find a dealer that would let visuals go =/ )

TRD for sure is carb legal. AEM made the trd one anyway. I think AEM is making a dry flow V2 for the TC but you have to personally contact them. For sure TRD is carb legal, the rest just say carb pending. Im from Cali also right next to you. So smog is a big thing for me too but hey a cold air box might slide me thru not alot of smog shops really know. Also if it doesnt switching yur intake back to stock in 4 years shuldnt be too hard.

are you sure TRD is carb legal? I talked to a guy from a dealer and he says that the cai for TRD is made by someone else?
