Default Broken Hood Latch?? Easy fix or not?

OK, so I go to open the hood and I hear a pop noise. Now I get no pull from the latch. The cord popped off and I can't open my hood. Are there any tricks of the trade too fix this
or am I going to have to make a trip too the man. , is there any way for me to get the hood open too see if i can re-attach it. Sorry pics are crappy cause I used my cell.

Where did the cable break at?

At Honda we just use a really long flat head screw driver and twist it open.
But this is Toyota and I have no Idea how it works.

Well I'm not sure where it broke because the cable can basically be pulled all the way through, I'm guessing broke right near the hood latch, cause there isn't any resistence in the line....so toyota ordered a replacement and they have to put it on a lift and open the hood from the bottom...should be fixed this week hopefully
