+1 on the OBX full catback...it is one of the louder exhaust but is really deep...not a bad choice if ur on a budget

 

I have an Injen SRI, Tsudo midpipe v2, and a TRD axleback. It has a deep tone and sounds pretty intense in person. Didn't realize it would be so loud. I never did bother to install the bottom half for the CAI portion. Here's a before and after midpipe installation.

Erz headers for an 09 tC. Any thoughts or reviews?

 

sounds like an ebay header brand. all headers=crap

 

What's your reason behind that?

 

my reason behind all headers sound like crap? bc its true. you tube it, listen to it in person etc. i have a header, it sounds liek crap.

or the ebay comment? its bc it is an ebay brand, not a known company/name. noone sells it other then ebay.

all 4-1 headers will sound the same, so if you heard the sound of one youve basically heard them all, 4-2-1 header's will vary sound

Hey fellas, quick question (figured it wasn't worth making a new thread about and this is a good thread for it.)

I have an '05 tC with a custom ram-air intake (for intents/purposes it's just a pipe with a CAI on it), the megan racing header, and megan drift spec catback (plus a small cherry bomb welded into the midpipe behind the resonator). I have the stock s-pipe.

My car sounds amazing at low and high revs but gets raspy in the 2.5k-4k range. What should I do about it? Add another cherry bomb? Get a new s-pipe?

get a good name brand resonator like hush power,moroso, magnaflow will help a lot.

 

how much did you get your drift spec catback for??

 

Just a little over $300.

 

Thinking about cutting out the Megan 14" resonator that came with the midpipe and replacing it with this hushpower 18".

^ That can work, but if you really want to quiet it down, a 30" resonator would be best. And even then it still gets a little raspy.

 

Maybe 30" resonator x 2 will work good!

 

Hmm. I already welded in a little 12" cherry bomb glasspack that cut down on some of the rasp. I have another one that I could weld in there as well, and still fit the hushpower in there after that.

So in total, my exhaust would be header -> hushpower 18" -> cherrybomb 12" -> cherrybomb 12" -> megan racing muffler (more of a fart can.)

Bet that would sound pretty interesting...
