Yea, that black metal bracket that the vibration mount screws into. I just installed my injen on saturday, so it hasn't broken yet. But the fatigue from engine movement may break it over time. For now I am occasionally keeping an eye on it.

I have had mine for 6 months now and not a single issue with mine. I am running the torque damper too. (knock on wood though) I am running the K&N CAI.

Will that Dr. Isotope CAI fender panel help with this issue?

Yes it will 100% as of right now for me :D I'vd had my Injen CAI since Feb. and I got Docs fender panel at the same time and did the installs together. It keeps the entire intake piping from moving on mine. Works great!

I had mine broken for a while - then i got my s/c - and it didnt matter a bit. The intake is still being held on by a few other mount points. Its a poor design but luckly it wont harm anything. I just had a bolt on my s/c intake when I put the original on. Now I have a s/c intake and I dont need that mount point anyway - the only mount point is comming out of the cone of the intake

Simple answer... build a GFI. It actually tries to do what a CAI should rather than look blingy and do nothing. And installs in a MUCH better way. Granted, you still are getting little out of the mod, but if you want a CAI, then build a real one. A metal, heat conducting tube that is poorly designed and breaks everything it is attached to is just a waste of money IMO. But if you must keep what you have, then the fender panel will probably help some.

I know some people dont have issues with the K&N, but I have heard just as many that said it wasnt broken, yet when told where to look found it was You have to look under it where it mounts to the motor mount bracket. The K&N is nice enough to break THAT one rather than the bracket on the CAI. So you cant fix it in any good way.

i had the injen, my friend has it now, but i knew about people having problems with that bracket your talking about, i always checked it when i had the hood up and nothing ever broke. got to check the mount for the second half too when i took it off, everything was fine.

the k&n will do it almost immediately for most people due to it not having the rubber vibra mount, the injen comes with the vibra mount (or what ever you want to call it) and it will prolong it from breaking but it will still break. i am not sure how long but I have 50,000 on the tC and mine broke probably around 40,000 I went to lowes and looked at their hardware and used a piece of steel that was 1/4" thick to make my own.

Mine busted right after installed. I couldn't take the tap-tap-tapping at idle. It was driving me crazy. Someone mentioned it earlier. Buy the Dr. Isotope fender panel

Mine broke in about 7500 miles. 3/16" aluminum to make my own bracket. Lasted til I got the SC and took it off.
