Don't go 3 inch exhaust on the s/c. Take it from somebody with a 2.5" full exhaust with no cats and 2 resonators. You'll miss your low end power with a 3 incher and the s/c. I'm about to put a cat in my exhaust soon to gain some low end back. With the 2.5 inch it still pulls a lot harder at the top end so there's no benefit to 3 inch imo.

Might want to add in a clutch and LSD to that list. Gotta put the power to the ground. Just incase there is confusion, Maximum Boost is a book about designing, testing and installing turbocharger systems, not the comic strip from ImportTuner. I figure I'll just quote the other so you can yell at him not me if you need to.
"Make no mistake in the fact that turbo performance cams are very different from atmospheric performance cams. The characteristics of long-duration and high overlap for atmo cams are unwelcome in a turbo system. The street turbo, which is generally small, operates with exhaust manifold pressure somewhat higher than intake boost pressure. This situation, when presented with long-duration, high-overlap cams, creates a huge amount of reversion. Thus the "turbo cam" tends to become a low-duration, very limited overlap cam" (Corky Bell). He continues with a little hand pointing at the word: RULE, in bold and after it there is "It is hard to find a turbo cam that works better than the stock item." Now I know this is 2006 and the book is copyrighted 1997 so the information may have changed. But for some of us I guess money isn't an issue. .

I think a good IM and BBTB would see better gains than cams would.

I think for now, you may be able to get good results with FI by reducing vvti overlap with a camcon. Of course, you would have to pay for the part and the tuning session. Anyone know if the unichip/emanage can control variable valve timing systems?

i don't know alot about the scion engine but i do know that the piggy back system do sometimes conflict with the ecu. mostly with the the cam angle sensor. i don't know what the end result would be but i would think it can't be to good

That's probably why they're telling you to get cams.. The 4G63 get's VERY good numbers from cams. Hopefully the tC will do well also when they're finally out.
