car concern and issue
pretty much everytime i got out to crank my car when it first cranks up when i give it a lil gas it acts very sluggish. only for a few seconds. like if i crank it up in the morning to go to work and i put it in reverse to back out the driveway when i start going it seems like there is no power and i have no throttle response i tap the gas and it seems like its going to die. but once i get it out the driveway and go to take off it only does it a lil bit but after it has been going for a few seconds its fine and doesnt do it. does it like 3/4 the times i get in it to go somewhere very odd. i have megan header, factory s pipe and midpipe, tanabe concept g, weapon r intake with ram air kit, and agency power pulley. dont remember the car doing this when it was stock. think it could be a performance part issue.
What year, how many miles, auto or stick, is it cold or warm outside when this happens?
It honestly sounds like plugs to me, the stock ones are only supposed to be run for 30K miles according to the parts guy I spoke with, have you looked at yours? None of the mods listed should affect startup or driveability like that.

its an manual 07 with 27000 miles, and its hot outside. about 90-100 degrees everyday. 100% humidity. not trying to give a weather report or anything. but it only does it on start up it kinda lags a lil when first taking off. but after that it seems fine. $hit now that i think about it, it kinda lags when im driving as well. hmmm, idk. not sure what i have done to make a plug go bad but idk.
30k miles for the stock plugs? He's trying to rip you off, big time.
Stock plugs are going to last 100k miles, at least. They're iridium and there's practically no better out there.
Try cleaning your MAF. A dirty MAF could cause sluggishness.

damn it i hate to hear ____ like that. brand new car with a few mods and already having problems with it. i take care of it. i maintenance it and everything. just dont understand what the hell is going on. ima clean my air filter and check the MAF and see if there is any crap on it and clean that as well if it needs it. cant think of anything else it could be.
mineis like that too.....just cleaned the filter and MAP and throttle body and it is good to go again......filter was filthy......give that a try.....this time of year is is so dusty the filters get plugged and you lose a lot of power in the heat...no air flow.
yea i hear ya. i cleaned the MAF and the filter and reset teh ECU and it seems to be doing fine now. had awesome throttle response all night. ill make sure its fixed tom morning when its all cold and ill post up how it does. thanks guys
