Default Clutch Buzzing?

This problem has been going on for a while now, but now that I'm going turbo I'm really concerned as to what may be causing this? Whenever I shift, the clutch pedal makes a noticeable buzzing sound if I shift past 3k rpm.. It also buzzes faintly whenever I shift into neutral put the parking brake up. Any ideas on what could be wrong with my clutch?

your car is probably going to explode...

honestly tho if your getting a turbo I would recommend a clutch upgrade anyways. Dont bother paying to fix it if there is something wrong

Hi Guys, I changed out my clutch to ACT street clutch and Fidanza flywheel set up. I got the same problem at around 3k rpm when i decelerate i get a buzzing noise.

The mechanic said it could be because a pilot bearing wasn't installed. The ACT kit didn't include a pilot bearing . Does a TC even need a pilot bearing? Where can i find one? i searched all over the web, went to a bunch of auto stores they do not sell it alone, they all come with a kit.

please help I'm debating if I should bring my car in tomorrow.

thanks,

The mechanic doesn't know the tC! I have replaced my clutch and had a slight noise, mine was caused by throwout bearing being bad. The tC doesn't use a pilot bearing the input shaft on the transmission is rounded off at the end and this sits at the end of the crankshaft of the engine.

I had a bent release bearing/throwout bearing installed before, it made whirling sounds at idle. But i had that replaced with a new oem throwout bearing, and the whirling sound disapeared.

Now it's a different sound, the sound the first post described, a buzzing sound at declerating 4th gear and 5th around 3k rpm is the most noticeable.

do you guys know what it could be? maybe the flywheel is too light and cannot absorb all the vibration?

how can i get this fixed? its really getting on my nerves.

thanks,

Buzzing sound upon deceleration is caused by light weight flywheels. This, I was told by Paul at Dezod.com, is normal for light weight flywheel setups.

Do not worry - as mine does this too. I've grown to actually like it. It sounds like a buzzing, or sandpaper type sound.

But as far as the OP is concerned - he doesn't have an upgraded clutch/flywheel - so I'm not sure what his issue is.
