Clutch Flywheel Install
What is up guys i just got a clutch and flywheel and i want to go to my dads shop to install it but the only thing he lives about 350 to 400 miles away. I know i have a 500 mile break-in period. Would i be okay driving on the high way doing 75 80 MPH? Or should i just get it install in the town i live in. I didnt really want to spend money for install but i dont have to many tools in my apartment so.
going that fast as nothing to do with the break in period...break in period is good with stop and go traffic...break in period means you wanna dis-engage and re-ingage as much as possible with in that time period...going on the highway at that spped wont do much for the break in period
while were talking about clutch and flywheels
im about to order an ACT clutch and a Competition Clutch Flywheel 12lb.. do those 2 brands fit together cuz idk if you can mix and match lol.. is there any other better 12lb flywheel?

ur gonna get hot spots, and when breaking in the clutch,ur creating friction, samething with new breaks..gotta take it easy for the few 100 miles or so

you will be fine on the highway. it's not speed that wears it out before the break in it is load that causes them to bite the dust. infact if your tc is stock you dont even need a break in period.

it's not a bad idea to break in a clutch but when usually cars that actually require a break in period come with a sticker on the door and a sheet of paper saying break in required which i never got those and mine came from the factory to my stealership
