Clutch and Flywheel Replacement Brands, Ratings, Reviews?
Hey guys, I finally wore out my OEM clutch so time for the performance stuff!
Right now I am looking at Exedy and ACT. I also came across another brand called Zoom? Anyone heard of it? For those of you who have already replaced your OEM clutch kit and flywheel please post reviews of the clutches you have installed! If there is already a thread for this topic someone please re-direct me! All efforts and reviews are greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

I just replaced my clutch and flywheel. I put another OEM clutch in but I upgraded to flywheel to a fidanza 9.5 pound flywheel. It's pretty nice and smooth. However, I've read on here a few times that it's best to stay away from alluminum flywheels, which the Fidanza flywheel is. Competition Clutch makes a I think 11 pound flywheel that is made of forged steel I think. I'd say go with that. As far as your clutch unless you plan on boosting the car, or have a ton of bolt-ons and your almost near 200whp, you dont need a performance clutch, stage 3, 4, 5 clutches dont equate to being better or better performing clutches, they are just meant to hold different amounts of hp, and have different clamping forces.
Hmmm haven't had a problem with mine. The car actually seems to drive and shift better with it. Fidanza even claims it increases engine life. I wonder if the people who have had problems installed it correctly cuz there's alot that can go wrong if installed poorly. Fidanza had a long check list of things that must be followed in order to ensure proper installation.
I dont know what the cost of the TRD performance clutch is compared to others but i would think thats a decent one for an upgrade and can handle more power. I know modified mag used it for the S/c tC and for minor mods im sure it will be fine. Thats just speculation though. I plan to save up for a flywheel and lsd to get it all doen at the same time as a neew clutch to save costs.
