Default Has anyone tried CC InsertsT to help get rid of some rasp?

Silencer-Rasp eliminator or muffler replacement for max exhaust flow

Does anybody think that this would work?

(you only need 1) and they are very reasonably priced at summitracing.com

Taken from CC website:

CC InsertsT provide a deep crisp note to any exhaust system. Developed to quiet racing exhaust systems, the Inserts provide a very light, efficient alternative to bulky mufflers. Testing has demonstrated that CC InsertsT can improve low AND mid range power, even when compared to open headers. When used in street applications you gain all of the benefits of the race units with an aggressive exhaust note that hints of a full race system. New CC Flanged Inserts are also available.

Inserts are available in sizes from 2" diameter to 4 ½" diameter in 2 or 3 disk configuration. The size is based on the outside (OD) diameter of the pipe the Inserts are to fit into. Each application will be different. Some race applications have proven satisfactory with only a single disk insert. The use of CC Inserts allows the user to custom tailor the unit for his specific application.

Installation of CC InsertsT is very simple. Just choose the appropriate size and slide into the pipe. To hold the insert in place, either weld or Stainless Steel pop rivet in place. Since wall thickness can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, the Inserts can either be a loose, snug or a very tight fit that could require grinding a very small amount of material off the outer circumference of the disks

If I ever do get a header next year, i guess ill try this method after a high flow cat, to see if that reduces the rasp and still keeps a nice TRD type tone.

I am going to keep watching, to see when someone finds a good solution to rasp for header/trd combo. I have the trd exhaust and i love it so i am not going to switch my exhaust. It looks like i will just have to wait a little longer before i get a header and s-pipe.

ummm if you going to put that in your exhaust just keep the stock muffler that thing will destroy any good flow you once had
