clutch issues...squeaks and whines... need some diagnosis help
so lately after replacing my old comp clutch with a new one.. i did all my pedal adjustments.. clutch was "ok" for about 1k miles... ive got some new symptons i need some help diagnosing because im stumped.
The clutch has been feeling spongy as of late... ONCE before i had the infamous "i cant get my car in gear start up" ...at first i thought the clutch master cylinder had blown.. but upon futher inspection i found no leaks and the fluid level has maintained its level... i then proceeded to give the pedal a really high adjustment which fixed the problem and i was able to keep driving the car....this happend before the new clutch.... i then got the clutch replaced by comp clutch because it had failed on me a while back and was damaged but the car was still driveable.... im now on the new clutch and heres some more symptoms im having problems with:
when putting the car in gear..first or reverse even up to 3rd or 4th... when pressing the clutch there is a noticable high pitched squeak/whine that starts off high then ends low as if your deflating air out of a balloon. its most noticeable in reverse and 1,2... its not the usual slave cylinder squeak we all get from time to time.
the nest issue im having is a very spongy pedal feel.. not firm like it was when the new clutch was installed or how i had it before with the orginal comp clutch... in fact most of these problems also stem down from when the car got stuck a few months back and i just rigged my engagement to be able to move and go...
So far no leaks on the slave or master cylinder... and my fear is the master cylinder either A) needs replacing but just hasnt finally given out or leaked... B) for some crazy reason i have acquired a hugh amount of air in the lines and i need to bleed the clutch to see if that helps..
Ill be picking up a new stainless steel clutch line soon but the whines going into gears have me stumped...
any care to chime in and see if they've had any of these problems??? if they've been solved??
as of right now the stainless steel line was ordered to help "firm up" the pedal... but im afriad the spongyness of the clutch will still remain and the whine also... im trying to fix this before taking it to toyota and getting raped.
PS the whining sounds resemble that also of a supercharger sound... but i defenitely do not have a s/c lol... car has 60k miles and tracks alot... which is why im leaning towards bleeding the clutch/ adding the new stainless steel line and going with new fluids first before replacing the clutch master cylinder.

I'm a little confused the way you word your statements.
You shouldn't be able to get the car into gear without the clutch pedal pressed. I'm going to assume you mean when you press the clutch the squeaking sound happens and then you place the transmission into gear.
This would have nothing to do with the transmission engagement but more to do with the hydraulic system. You might have air in the system from over stroking the slave cylinder but doubtful. It's possible that maybe you did not readjust the pedal to the proper spec and have been over stroking the slave. That or there isn't enough grease on the pivot ball and fork assembly and now you are getting metal to metal contact.
Tough to tell without being there. A stainless steel line will help the pedal feedback for sure.
