i am having cricket noise around clutch/transmision .I can moistly hear it when i am in neutral but when i press the clutch it goes away .

Any one have any idea what it could be i was told that it could be a loose clutch or something with flywheel.

Wrong. Don't listen to them! The problem is the tC does not use a pilot bearing or bushing. The noise you hear is the throwout bearing when I replaced my clutch at 22K the bearing was trashed. The bearing isn't designed very well as it is not a sealed bearing it has an area where debris gets into the bearing and causes early failure of the bearing.

Tough call. Bearing probably so however clutch doesn't have enough miles. Only problem is you have to remove you transmission for either one. If you are planning on doing some mods that will require a new clutch and you can afford one, I would say go for it otherwise just hold off longer until the noise either gets worse, annoys you to the point you cant take it, or its time for an replacement or upgrade.
