Complete exhaust system for the Scion tC? Intake? SS??
Alrite so I am getting a Scion tC (hopefully sooner than later). And slowly I am trying to plan out my upgrade path (if I own it, its modded, its an addiction). Before I learn more about the car need to start with the basics. Exhaust, intake, short shifter, springs, strust, bars, and tires. I really like the TRD package as well as the factory strut bar option. But what I have a few questions on is the exhaust and intake system.
For exhaust I am looking at:
DC Sports Header
DC Sports Cat Back Exhaust
Question: With these two toys on the car what is missing? The midpipe im asusming. Is there a company out there that makes a performance cat pipe for the Scion tC? Does that take care of the whole exhaust sytem, all aftermarket and performance? Or is there another peice in the system? Does anyone make a header-back exhaust sytem yet?
Intake:
I was looking at Injen for the scion tc? Do they make one yet? What intakes are availabel and what are the recomended ones?
Short shifter:
I havent done much looking yet? Which ones are good/bad/available?
Any word on a front sway bar and rear strut bar from any companies? Please advise! Thanks!

i have a TWM short shifter and i'm 100% happy with it.... from what i hear it's the most efficient (throw-wise) reducing the throw by 30% there are a couple others but they keep the shifter at the stock height while only reducing the throw. www.twmperformance.com

But, if what you want is your exhaust to just sound louder, go for it.

call it what you want. All exhaust systems make a louder deeper noise, and its not stated that all fart cans make a obnoxious annoying noise. I agree that the $40 dolalr do it yourself muffler replacement is a POS and not worth it. but standard mufflers that size look good in my opnion and they do eprform well. it would be a full catback system, and that is what I want. it looks good and sounds great, its my car and thats what I want on it.
And p.s. I am refering to something like this:

I would go with the Magnaflow exhaust, TWM short throw, AEM CAI and stay away from DC header (throws CEL) wait a little while and more companys will come out w/ more options
