Default cooling fans?

Does anyone know of an upgrade for our radiator cooling fans? Possibly something to help cool the engine bay a little better and a little faster?

The radiator fans are pulling air through the radiator, drawing the heat out of the coolant, and into the air. SO if anything, the fans are making the temps under the hood hotter. To have a fan cool underhood, it needs to draw from ambient-- not through the radiator.

If you want to evacuate heat faster, you're going to need to give that heat a way out-- like the aesthetically unpleasant hood spacers, fender slits, etc.

So do you know of any type of ambient air pulling fans that would be suited for our applications? I have an upgraded electric fan on my truck that after I put it on, my truck ran about 8-10 degrees cooler and it was pulling off of the radiator. Just thought it would have a similar setup for the tC.

There's alwasy the good old 12v bilge fans. Cheap, fairly small, and move a good amount of air.

Would you think it would make a great deal of difference in either lifting the rear of the hood, or taking the rubber out from the rear of the hood near the windshield cowl? If it could reduce about a good 10-15 degrees, that could be something that would help drastically in the winter time for hard runs.

Ive seen setups where someone puts a fan at the bottom of the engine bay and it sucks the air to under the car and wind just pushes it away. Seemed to work alright I guess.

Wow, this seems like a good idea. Maybe I should try this.
