Default CreativeCompacts.Com Exhaust DYNO Completed

Well here we go for all those who were just dying to have a dyno on the exhaust... Lvnurs9 and I made it out in 4-6 inches of snow to get it done TODAY so there would be no more drama this week on these forums lol

Baseline Stock tc was 126hp and 142 ft/lbs
Stock tC with Intake by WR was 132hp and 143 ft/lbs
Stock tC with Intake and Exhaust Kit was 144hp and 152 ft/lbs

Intake was the WR Secret Weapon Intake
Exhaust was the 2.5" Stainless Steel Full Kit with High Flow Cat and Borla Muffler by CreativeCompacts.Com

So in Conclusion, the Exhaust makes around 12hp and 9 ft/lbs when you have the WR Intake Installed

Dyno was done with the Hood CLOSED and a fan blowing at around 5 mph in to front grille area. The car ran 3 passes on the dyno. Same car, same dyno, same place...

Thanks
James

The hood was closed with just a fan pointed at the radiator. Those numbers are really good with the hood open im sure it would have easily produced 10hp or more in addition to what you see on the dyno. Heat soak im sure was a big issue especially considering it was a short ram intake under a closed hood. Considering that a moving vehicle at 40 mph has a 40mph wind gust going through the front grill into the engine bay, the temperetures would be much cooler. Im sure those HP numbers are actually higher if the vehicle was in motion much like real world driving. I dynoed my tc 4sp auto at 133hp and 137tq but that was with the hood open and at 83 degrees.

WOW! That IS impressive. 12 hp and 9 tq with just an intake. Imagine the gains on a boosted car. Could you post some sound clips too? Thanks :D

By the way this is my first post. I like the forum. It's pretty awesome.

How are you dynoing the tc. Every dyno I have seen for the stock tc shows 137-143whp and 147-150wtq.

ya thats what everyone said the last time we posted them. what do you mean how are we dynoing the tC? put it on the dyno and run it. i dont know whay the baseline was so low but i think it had to do with not letting the ECU learn the new intake. regardless, we determined the exhaust gains from what the car dyno'd with just the intake....not the original baseline.

the auto will always dyno less at the wheels than a manual.

ok jesus... 21.25% hp loss through the drivetrain on a 5spd? Ummm... I have yet to see even auto dyno that low! Please tell me this was NOT a 5spd or that the dyno was off a little to start with.

Does it matter if the hp numbers are low, we all know most dynos get 140~ give or take to the wheels in a 5spd, what the important thing here is the gain in HP with the mods.

guys the dynoes are fine ,the hood was down, low numbers are due to heatsoak. Even if it was cold outside the engine generates alot of heat . Im sure if the hood was up numbers will be higher perhaps by as much as 10hp. Here are my dynoes 4sp auto with teh hood up imagine it down.
