if that is the case then i definatly wouldnt consider this a legit dyno........ making it look like it makes 12 whp when in fact the dyno you put it on didnt even make the stock dyno numbers dosent make me want to purchase this... i think its kinda bogus actually.....

James-

I know this may be difficult money-wise but...can you try dynoing with the hood open and then closed to contrast the possibility of heatsoak for the SRI? I know with most SRIs, heatsoak is a critical factor, a factor which may attribute to the lower horsepower figures. I think with intake that reduces heatsoak, your exhaust may perform even better.

I know ppl have given shat to you about dynoing with the hood up, but dynoing with the hood up will give comparison to AEM intakes, when it becomes available.

Finally, members keep in mind that James is working to provide us with opportunities. If you don't like his product, you are obviously not obligated to purchase his product. He provides his time, effort and research willingly, so it pains me to see you guys being so harsh.

James -

Can you also figure out the SAE corrected value? It says on the top of the Dynojet values that it is uncorrected. I think this may be a big difference.

Guys... I have spent alot of my own cash and spent alot of my personal time out side of work to get these dynos done on Lvnurs9's car. We even drove in 6 inches of snow. At this time I am highly considering not even working with the tC anymore. We take photos, we take videos, we get the actual jpg file from the dyno shop, we do the hood open, we do the hood close... AND NO ONE is ever happy. I hope you all enjoy your parts from other companies but I can no longer deal with the constant complaining. If you all have problems with the dyno numbers, call John at Express Auto Serivce (540) 372-4422 and ask him what is wrong with their dyno.

Enjoy modding your tCs...

You try to provide people a service and all they can do is _____ and complain. James has done a lot of hard work for this car and all people can do is focus on some stupid stock dyno number and complain. Honestly, who freakin cares? The exhaust is awesome and provides excellent gains but everyone comes on here like some wannabe automotive engineer and nitpick about every little thing. I applaude James for all his hard work and effort and for having to put up with this stuff for this long.

Do you people honestly think that AEM's dynos are perfect or anyone's for that matter? But every product that has been introduced to us so far has been welcomed by more negative reviews than positives mostly by people complaining about dynos. Dynos are not perfect and do not represent 'real world' gains since they can't reproduce a 'real world' environment. Manufactuers are constantly monitoring these threads for feedback but it's all negative, they're all gonna give up eventually and we'll be left with nothing. Keep the criticism constructive and not destructive.

There are some very dumb people on here.

You are getting all antsy because you think the dyno is off.......if the car made 129 hp then added some mods and it made more HP does it really matter what the baseline was? Its the fact that it added horsepower...die die die

What gets me is that the HP numbers are understated, not overstated. If it was otherwise there would be at least some room to complain. $hit you get more HP then manufacturer promises to deliver due to tough dyno...stfu

James, there is no point in leaving just because of some people who have nothing constructive to say and only bltch.

i totally agree. AEM wouldn't even give a ____ about our complaints. They're so big it doesn't matter if some intsy weentsy tC owner didn't like their product. what matters is not what the baseline tC dyno is, but rather the gains. don't give up James, this product is awesome. all the exhausts i know of are axle back and there's like... one cat back. no other company offers a full kit and i think that that's very complimentary. don't let a couple of whiny young'uns bother you. it really must be frustrating. i know that sometimes i can by a real pain in the neck myself, so hope none of my posts were the ones frustrating you.

I have two questions for creativecustoms.

1.) Is the 2.5" exhaust mandrel bent? I didn't see anything mentioning that anywhere.

2.) Do you have any plans for re-dynoing after adding headers?

And for all the people _____ing about the stock numbers, no two dyno's can be expected to dyno the same. Either learn from my statement or learn it on your own the hard way, but it's a fact of life. I usually dyno my car on a Mustang Dyno, and they read MUCH lower than dynojets.

People will _____ but that type of attitude isnt called for. Im glad you dyno'd the car and im sure many many many others are also. Think about all of the people as a whole except a few that want to give their 2cents.
