CreativeCompacts.Com S-Pipe Upgrade Information
On Friday, during our company install session, we were able to take a deeper look into the entire S-pipe problem on the tC. As other companies and individuals have stated, it is one of the most restrictive pieces I have seen on the Scion tC with the exception of the heads. After bout 10-15 min of checking clearances and what could be done, a phone call was made to Scion Corp. Within 24 hours, we had a new in the box factory s-pipe sitting at our office. This pipe is currently being used to make a new performance driven S-pipe that we will make available with or without our current exhaust kits. We are expecting decent gains from this modification as well as an improvement in overall exhaust tone (Should reduce rasp). Once the test pipe is done, we will be doing some testing on the pipe as well as Scion installing our pipe on their test/demo car.

just out of curiosity why is the "s-pipe" a s pipe? was that Scion/Toyota's way of restricting the air flow? would make sense to me to just straight pipe with a kink in it to match up to the stock header flange. im thinking out loud so feel free to say shut up
Well I guess that diagram above finally answers everyone's questions on the torque specs for the bolts. Does anyone else see that the exhaust gaskets should not be reused, good thing to point out to those that are doing your own exhaust work (i.e. switching header).
Just outta curiousity, where'd you get it nycazn79? Any other diagrams available?

Having some clearance issues under the oil pan we have to make adjustments for... kinda crappy design from the factory. Not sure how much temp changes from the S-pipe to the oil pan but might end up suggesting customers wrap the s-pipe around this location... Will have more info next week now it appears. Sorry for the delay.
