this is one of the reasons why i decided not to go with the DC.

you don't know what resonators are? the term in itself is self-explanatory. it resonates the sound, thus making it quieter. if you go to any muffler shop, they'll show you what you need.

even with resonators, the buzzing noise(rasp) wont get any better.

rasp basically is vibration of the pipes, and the DC headers dont have bottom brackets that hte stocks do, so they are obviously going to rattle a whole lot, causing a lot of rasp.

the only thing that i can think of that can possible help it is get a larger resonator, but that will only reduce the rasp with the DC, it wont completely eliminate it.

uhhmm.... rasp is not from vibration of the pipes.

the resonators will tremendously get rid of the rasp as well.

if your pipes are vibrating that bad that you get that much rasp then you've got another problem.

Maybe a different exhaust set-up would help. Do you currently have the TRD axle-back?

well, maybe i am wrong, but from what i have been reading and researched, and first hand experience, i think that i might be right, but im sure their are ALOT of people with more knowledge than me.

anyways, i know a little about getting rid of rasp, here is my last tC, which as you can tell from the video was quiet and deep.

here was my set up: Fujita F5 Cold Air Intake > Megan Racing Header V2 > Megan Racing S-Pipe > Magnaflow Hi-Flo Cat > Magnaflow 30" Resonator with custom mounts(to reduce pipe vibrations) > Custom Axle Back with Magnaflow Muffler(mandrel bent) > Magnaflow Tip

ur car looks great blackonblacktc! and i dont really hear any rasp! the is no tc that has more rasp than mine and my friends trust me. i want to post a vid of my tc = toyota civic!
anyway, maybe your right, it might be the vibrations but i dont think so because the raspy noise doesnt sound like anything is vibrating, its sounds like the air is coming out of each of the exhaust valves and into the headers and through the exhaust.

The actual rasp comes from the engine, not from vibrating pipes. If you have a vibration that would be a completely diffent sound. Thats y even the stock exhaust has a large resonator. The engine is creating sound waves through the exhaust pipe and once you change anything in your sytem the waves will be at differnet lengths. So they wouldn't cancel each other out any more with the stock resonator. This is why everyone with a header installs a huge aftermarket resonator. And this does cut rasp down to practically nothing if done correctly.
