Do all headers sound raspy for the tC?
#161
I just installed my header over the weekend... my set up is Fujita CAI, Strup 4-1 header, Megan Racing S pipe, 2 piece no name brand mid pipe w/ a foot long res. (slight exhaust leak cuz of the 2 piece), Spec-D axle back exhaust.
After I put the header on it, I too was raspy but not thaaaat bad. But I do have another mid pipe (another no name) but its a single piece so I wont have that exhaust leak, but it has two resninators on it so I hope it will quiet it down for the raspy sound.
Im going to install it hopefully 2morrow... I will keep you guys posted

Have to take in the fact that aftermarket headers are more none restrictive , more direct, longer port tubing so it give the car extra 10-20 horses, I own 2012 tc still stock except window tint. Sounds pretty good for stock until the rpm's get up into 4k+ then you hear motor and exhaust sounds racy not raspy.. maybe if you put a fart can exhaust on the back it would sound like it. I just now rolled a 1000 miles on it , don't plan on getting to crazy with it. payments are more important then tickets ..

My other midpipe didn't fit!!! I dont know why but it did work w/ my stock muffler... ehhh. I have hella exhaust leaks where the gaskets are though. Im going to replace those, but i was also thinking i want to do a different exhaust on it. Like a drift spec or something and adding the hushpower II resinator to it if it is still bad
