does a aftermarket radiator cap do anything performance wise
They only affect performance if they're rated at a higher pressure than stock. Higher PSI will raise the boiling point of the fluid in your system. Most people don't need to do this, it won't make the car faster, and you could have warranty issues so check with the dealer first.
it's a cap that seals the system just like your stock one. unless your car is getting too hot and leaking coolant through the stock radiator cap i'd venture to say no
. doesn't common sense tell you that if the cooling system is working and not leaking, a different cap can't make it work any better? if it ain't leaking there ain't no better cap....so, it is cosmetic.
