None that i could think of the stock airbox already pulls it air from outside the engine bay so its already getting decently cool air. The problems with the stock airbox isnt heat soak its mostly all the restrictions in the box itself and the piping.

i don't believe that it will have much effect on a stock airbox. since the material isn't metal, it won't succumb to the effects of heat soak like other intakes. and it draws air from the fender area which is fairly cool as it is.

Think about how little time the air spends in the airbox. There isn't enough time for any appreciable heat transfer to the air, regardless of the temperature of the box.

I have a Weapon-R intake and was thinking the same thing - that is shielding it from the headers. Any thoughts?

The pipe extending out of the throttle body heading to the MAF gets pretty damn hot.

I bought $9 worth of adhesive insulation "tape" and wrapped that upper pipe. I've found it helps a good deal with heatsoak. Doesn't look too pretty, though.

Well, it depends on what you're looking for, really.

Falken Azenis are a favorite street tire. They have decent wear and very good grip in both drag and autoX, but more so for the corners.

Nitto Neogens are extremely good bang-for-buck, I hear.

Perelli P-Zeros are also pretty good.

However, the tire that my high-power domestic friends keep taking about is the Bridgestone S-03 pole-positions. Expensive, but apparently these guys are some of the stickiest that you'd ever want on a daily driver. I think i might be going with these if they offer our size.
