the axle back is a cat back without the the cat.?
so if i buy an HKS axle-back. and put it together with a custom midpipe wich has resonator will be the same like tha cat back?

i dont realli get it whats the different between..

i know i know.. google. but.. i just dont.

edit:
The reason for the difference in power between the Cat/Back and the Axle/Back is not the resonator. It is because the factory tubing is replaced with our mandrel-bent tubing which retains it's inner diameter even within the bends. This alleviates the constriction of the factory pieces which provides for better exhaust flow.

so its not tha same?

i have to buy megan cat back and maybe put a bigger resonator?

the drift spec midpipe deletes the secondary cat. so from what i can tell yes, it'd basically be the same as a custom made midpipe. the hks axleback is only the rear piece, it doesn't come with anything else. the drift spec comes with a 2 piece midpipe as well as the rear axleback portion.

so.. the axleback is just a muffler?

so i can get hks ti (CF and titanium tip) muffler and go with a custom pipeing with a good resonator (or two.. LOL!!:D )

no no, the axleback is the muffler + a little bit of piping. here's a pic of the megan drift spec, the middle piece is the axleback, the other two combine to make the midpipe.

axleback = pipe with a resonator?

so the muffler+custom pipe " = " cat back?

axleback is the piece in the middle of that picture. it's the pipe with a muffler attached to it, hence the term axleback, it goes from the axle to the back. the midpipe is the two on the side combined to make one (the stock midpipe is one long piece, here megan split it into two pieces). catback is a term generally associated with exhausts that go from the cat all the way to the end, in megans case for the tc they actually deleted the secondary cat which most cars don't even have. in some states this is not legal, but for megan, it's cheaper to manufacture and they're not even based in the US so they could care less.
