Is a drop-in/panel filter worth it?
i don't have a solid answer for you yet but hopefully will in 2 weeks or so - we are going to do some dyno testing with our new tC project car - an intake test is among the scheduled tests to happen shortly, will update as we have the information available.

If you want your stock intake to perform its best... get one! If youre looking for performance then dont. I was about to get one since I wanted to keep an airbox setup and then I discovered the Umnitza intake and opted for that. Should have it tomorrow I hope.
I agree i got mine so i dont have to keep paying for new ones and i can clean it anytime....
very little increase in sound...very little
very little increase in power
but hell it was only 40 bucks.
I cant stomach shelling out 200 some odd dollar for ____ing stick with a filter on it.

I cant stomach shelling out 200 some odd dollar for flippin' stick with a filter on it.
Anyone have an opinion on the Dragon intake?
Well...apparently the Dragon Intake is no longer available for the tC...guess this makes it an easy decision...either shell out over $200 for 5-6 whp or get the cheapo filter for $40.00 and possibly gain 1-2 whp.
