I've got a 2007 turbo'd tc and my fuel cut sucks big time. It kills all power and the boost while spinning tires. I want to get the newer ECU that bounces nicely while still maintaining RPM's and doesn't bog. My room-mates '09 works like I want mine to but I'm not sure if it is like this on the '08 models. Can anyone confirm this about the 08 being just like the 09+?

If you're talking about spinning while bouncing off the rev limiter, a different rev limiter is not going to solve the problem. The problem is that you have more power than traction. You need stickier tires, but FWDs will always have less traction than you need.
As far as I know, the rev limit was changed at the end of 2006 for all 2007 model year cars, anyways.

Fuel cut as in when you hit maximum RPM. In order to get going properly when boosted, I end up spinning second for quite a bit but the car still moves forward. Mine cuts hard and bogs as soon as it reaches redline, the new tc's bounce and keep the power and boost up. I just need to know if anyone with an 08 has tested this out to see if it bounces or hard cuts.
Do you mean the redline behavior? Such as when 6250 RPMs is hit the fuel is cut and resumes when the RPMs back down to 3k-something? (as opposed to a more typical rev limiter where ignition is cut and the needle bounces off the red like a bell?)
I believe it's only on the '07s.

I know the 07's have that stupid problem but I need to know if any 08's do it as well, maybe early production runs. 07+ doesn't fuel cut until 6500. I want it to bounce off the limiter like Honda's and such do, not fuel cut until the computer decides to let fuel back in an hour later lol. Some of the used 08 ecus were manufactured in 07 so I want to avoid paying the extra 100 bucks or so for an 09 if possible.

If you've ever driven a boosted 300 hp 2007, you would be very interested in ditching the ECU. I can possibly grab up a 2008 ECU for around 100 bucks. The tune won't fix anything, besides there is nothing to correct.
I still need to know if the 2008 reacts identically to the 2009's. I don't want theory, I want experienced answers. Maybe from Descendant or PTuning or Dezod, tuners with lots of experience with these cars and tuning them.

Boost by gear would be fantastic but I have limited patience with finicky electronics working in conjunction with each other. Taming the FIC is an art in itself, let alone throwing a wrench into the mix.
So... can anyone with an 08 confirm that it bounces or no? How about an 09 boosted?
So you're saying that you can't tune out the fuel cut on the tC ECM? I would think that with a nice system like Emanage Ultimate or better you would have the capabilities to do that kind of thing.

That all costs a lot of money. I'm not looking for a way to do it. I'm asking if anyone boosted with an 08 can bounce the limiter in 2nd gear to get up to speed in order to shift into third without bogging.
I know a million other ways to get the desired results that either require lots of money and/or sacrifice drivability.
