Engine problem
Hello All,
Just rebuilt a 2006 Scion tC engine. After rebuild I started it and ran for a few seconds. Then it started spewing oil out of the oil filter gasket. I took the filter off and checked it. Oil filter is fine checked the spot where the oil filter goes for a old gasket. Nothing was there so my question is what's going on? I rebuilt to spec, and the oil filter seemed fine. I have a feeling the oil pump is ether not working correctly or the variable oil control filter is clogged. Putting back pressure on the engine now I'm not a mechanic so this is my guess.
What do you guys think?
