Failed oil consumption test, but haven't kept service records
How much of an uphill battle am I in for?
First and only owner on my TC for the last 10 years. I have regularly given it oil changes every 3k-4k miles at home. In the last 3 years, I've been away at university so most of my oil changes have been at Jiffy Lube (don't judge - I didn't have my tools at school, and JL tops off oil for free so I saved money overall).
I just graduated, returned home, and recently failed my oil consumption test. The service advisor said he'd order parts, and told me to bring in my service records when I next came in.
I certainly didn't keep receipts for every quart of oil or every oil filter I've bought since 2006. Jiffy Lube might be able to give me some for the past 2-3 years (and I might have to drive 5 hours to my college town to get them) , but there will be gaps during school breaks when I've done my own oil changes. Not to mention the full gap of records from 2006-2013.
How much resistance should I expect at getting my warranty service? The oil light comes on at 1300-1500 miles and I am tired of dealing with this.

Oil light (red)
Or maintenance light (yellow)?
And of you fail the test they should have no problem doing it without the records.
Just tell them you took it to a place and there system os down and records got wiped out.
