mhmmmmmmmm all these problems with the fujita....

weird cause ive had mine on for +30,000 miles and ha......still nothing

<--------satisfied with my fujita

oh and btw....what finish do most of you have...the chrome or wrinkle black powder coat? if you have the chrome one, you know that anything chrome plated tends to attract and hold in heat more than normal right? so do you guys think this might be the problem?

Running with the CEL on may damage your catalytic converter possibly more, since most likey the engine is running lean. I have owned several toyotas and some dont throw the CEL and some intakes do. If it throws a CEL the only way to get rid of it is to get a upgraded/ flashed ECM, or take the intake off and return it to stock. This is the reason why I no longer put intakes on my cars. Too much of a pain.

I've had a Fujita on my '07 for nearly 10K now, no CEL except when it came off the throttle body, which was the fault of the installer (me) not the intake. Even then it was only on for about a day.

install seems easy but time consuming from what ive seen. Shouldn't matter if its an auto or 5spd.

Search for a DIY around here.

its not that hard to install. just gotta take off front bumper (which is like 4-8 screws or what not on the bottom like 4 on top maybe? and i think a few on the wheel well area, then its just taking off the stock set up and put the new pipes in. take maybe an hour or so. just check some of the DIY's on here. and i suggest get the dr isotope CAI bracket holder for it so that it doesnt rattle against the fender like some people have

It just whistles is all. Nothing wrong.

I'm running Fujita Intake # 2 over 20K miles between the two I've owned no issues.

Ok, I have the 07 Fujita Polished intake on my 08 and I havn't had any CEL problems for maybe 3 months and now my check engine light has came on, so I dunno if it may be the intake or not but I figured it would have came on by now, but I am going to advanced wed. to have it checked out!

If you look at the injen air intake for the 07+ model tC's you will see that the piping is necked down right where the MAF sensor goes into the intake tube. The 07 Fujita model does not do this. I purchased the 07 model and installed with resetting the ecu and got a check engine light everytime i tryed resetting the ecu. Sometimes it took several weeks to trip the CEL. I called Fujita several times on the phone and sent various emails and faxed several warrenty claims to them and they eventually replaced mine with the new version that is necked down at the MAF.

My story just to let you guys know

Ok I reset everything and the light hasn't came back on yet, so I am guessing everything is ok, it still runs like it always has and everything is securely tightend and installed correctly. So if it comes on again, I will just buy a scan gauge and figure out the problem from there..lol

Ok I read most of this thread and from my 2 plus yrs on the forum alot of people get a CEL from the Fujita intake and K&N. I personally have the Injen and have never had a problem. I sold it to a friend and bought a K&N for cheap. It threw a code. My friend bought the TRD intake so i bought the injen back. No code. I believe there is just a design flaw in the Fujita and K&N not that they dont work they just throw a code. But you shouldnt notice a difference in power or anything really just a light. Some people dont get this code as we can read but its something you either live with or get an Injen, AEM, TRD intake cause i havent heard of codes being thrown with those unless you mess something up.
