Default Has anyone installed the injen intake or exhaust yet?

I see all the fuss about what to buy and what reasons to buy it for,
but what does someone think about the injen intake, and who has the intake installed
what does it sound and feel like, would it be as loud as the k&n
i think i wll order one anyways, but just wanted to find out. and how is the exhaust also?
preferrably intake by itself or both.

i would like to know what it's like as well. injen claims 12hp gain and if that's true, then wow. but the thing stopping me from getting one is the cutoff valve for water if it gets too much water near it. the injen one doesn't have one but the aem one will. but i think the injen one has more hp gains than the aem one will.

but yes, what is the injen one like? anyone have any audio clips of it?

i ordered my intake on monday do i'll let you know when it gets it. Injen is only claiming 7 on a stock car, they say up to 12 if you have other mods (header/exhaust for example) hope this helps.

The Injen CAI is nice, it is loud at higher RPMs but it isn't obnoxious. It is a definite recommend.

I just finished installing my Injen CAI. The install was very easy, just a little time consuming. It took me about 2 hours total in my front yard. You have to remove the bumper, but it's very easy so don't be scared! There's some good instructions on removing the bumper on the grillcraft website (www.grillcraft.com). If anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I will be installing the Injen exhaust next weekend so I'll let you all know how that goes. I don't have any sound clips, but after the exhaust I'll try to get some on here.

you really dont have to remove the bumper, but you do have to undo some of the clips on the right side of the bumper and open up the wheel well, but be careful not to scratch the tube, if you care about looks, wrap it in a cloth or something, to prevent scratches, the cai tube is a tough fit in the space given. the intake is nice it sounds alot meaner when you accelerate, be sure to post how the greddy exhaust feels and sounds, because its somethng i am considering.

The Injen CAI is a nifty little addition to my car. It's pretty cool because it gives off a small whistle as you step on the gas, *almost like a blow off valve, ha, not really* and as you punch it towards 3000, you get a roar. If you roll down the windows and shut off your extremely loud sound system, then it's fun driving at night and listening to it. But with the windows rolled up, you can't hear the whistle and it hums a bit at 3500. Mine took about 2.5 hours to install, only because the cold air extention was a biatch to fit through the hole. Again, the bumper has to come off and the wheel does as well to make things easy, but don't worry, it's all good in the end and I like it. I got black...

Has anyone actually heard both the K&N CAI and the Injen? How do they compare (sound wise)?

intakes are identical. I doubt there is any difference to cry about. I never took of my wheel but the front bumper is a must.

okay, let me correct myself... I guess you don't absolutely have to take the front bumper off, but it's really easy to do and well worth it since it WILL make the install easier on you. It's already been mentioned, but the secondary tube is a real _____ to get through the fender well. Just take your time and with some light twisting it should slide through. Make sure to put the rubber strip along that metal edge first or you will definately scratch your secondary tube.
