Default header + spark plug = WTF??

i have read some threads on here about using the spark plug trick for aftermarket headers. what is this concept? i never heard of it. i have the megan header with the megan catback but stock s-pipe for now, and i havent thrown a CEL yet. but in case i do, whats the story behind using a spark plug? thanks

Use a spark plug anti-fouler on the O2 sensor. It spaces the the sensor from the stream a little and will read a stream that is more in line with what it'd normally read.

the sensor on your header is your afr sensor

sensor on the spipe is o2 sensor <--- anti fouler goes here

* be very carefull taking off the afr sensor beacause many including me have stripped it. it cost 170-220$

wd40.

take your time and be happy camper when your putting it on. you learn more from doing it yourself.

too long of a wrench , you put too much torque on the nut, then u screw it up.

too short of a wrench, you'll have calluses.

I bought the tC CEL Light Eliminator throught MMW, and I haven't installed yet, I think it goes on my header, or does it go on my S-Pipe?

just FYI, the package says HELP on it, but the actual brand is Motormite...just in case you are lazy and want to but it online. The part I think is 42009 or 42002. One is longer than the other but dont remember which one at the moment
